Drew Magary reads and signs his novel The Postmortals
Imagine a near future where a cure for aging is discovered and-after much political and moral debate-made available to people worldwide. Immortality, however, comes with its own unique problems-including evil green people, government euthanasia programs, a disturbing new religious cult, and other horrors. Witty, eerie, and full of humanity, The Postmortal is an unforgettable thriller that envisions a pre-apocalyptic world so real that it is completely terrifying.
Drew Magary writes for Deadspin, NBC, Maxim, and Kissing Suzy Kolber—a humor site dedicated to the NFL. He has also contributed to Rolling Stone, Comedy Central, New York Magazine, GQ, ESPN, Yahoo!, Playboy, Penthouse, and various other media outlets.

Stephen Hren discusses Tales from the Sustainable Underground: A Wild Journey with People Who Care More about the Planet than the Law
Activists striving for any type of social change often find themselves operating on the fringes of legal and social norms. Many experience difficulties when their innovative ideas run afoul of antiquated laws and regulations that favor a big business, energy- and material-intensive approach. Equally entertaining and informative, the profiles in this highly original book provide a unique lens through which to view deeper questions about the societal structures that are preventing us from attaining a more sustainable world. A must-read for sustainability activists in any field, or for anyone who wants to learn about more radical forms of sustainability activities in an entertaining way.
Stephen Hren lives in Durham, North Carolina, and is actively involved with renewable energy, natural building, and edible urban gardening.

With The Innocent, Stevens returns with another blockbuster thriller featuring the fearless Vanessa Michael Munroe.Raised in communes across the globe and denied an education beyond the sixth grade, Taylor Stevens broke free of the Children of God and now lives in Texas.

Welcome! Flyleaf Books is a full-service, community-oriented independent bookstore. We are locally-owned by three long-time Chapel Hillians (Jamie Fiocco, Land Arnold & Sarah Carr) and aim to play to our strengths: our love and knowledge of books, our commitment to providing stellar customer service, and our experience in the book trade.
Flyleaf Books is mostly new books, but we do feature select used books and a few rare titles. We also carry a selection of cards, jewelry, gifts and book-related products, mostly created by local artisans. We have a large childrens' and young adult section as well.
